Forgotten Children International Accredited by National Financial Accountability Organization
WINCHESTER, Va. - The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) announced today the accreditation of Forgotten Children International of Bluffton, IN.
ECFA accreditation is based on the ECFA Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship™, including financial accountability, transparency, sound board governance and ethical fund-raising.
Forgotten Children International joins a growing number of churches and evangelical organizations across America, supported by over 35 million donors that have earned the right to display the ECFA seal. When an organization is accredited by ECFA, it demonstrates its willingness to follow the model of biblical accountability.
"We are pleased to include in our membership a ministry committed to providing a loving and nurturing environment for forgotten children in which they may come to know the love of Jesus," said Dan Busby, president of ECFA.
Founded in 1999, Forgotten Children International (www.forgottenchildren.org) provides food, clothing, medical care, housing and spiritual instruction to orphans and vulnerable children around the globe by partnering with existing ministries to assist them in extending their outreach opportunities. Over 20,000 pounds of clothing are shipped in 40-foot containers to help street children and orphans.
