As the Founder and Executive Director of FCW, Matt and his wife, Barb, were moved to begin a ministry to orphans and vulnerable children after witnessing firsthand the plight of orphans in Romania and Russia. Children were living in deplorable conditions and facing a hopeless, dismal future. The Hartsells live in Bluffton, Ind. and have five children — three biological and two they adopted—one from China and the other from Russia. "We are grateful for the army of passionate volunteers who sacrifice so very much for the ministry of FCW with the goal of reaching orphaned children for Jesus Christ." Matt is a pastor and licensed counselor at Hope Missionary Church, Bluffton, Ind.
